As with every region during the 2009-10 school year, the Hampton Roads region saw its SOL Reading pass rate drop.  Hampton Road's rate was also below the state average.

The advanced pass rate on the Third Grade Reading exam in the Hampton Roads region has fallen below the state average for the last 5 years.
